The SIA (Staffing Industry Awards) is a global research and advisory firm focused on staffing and workforce solutions. Now in its eighth year, they have announced the list of 150 women across the globe who are leading the way when it comes to their efforts and achievements in elevating the workforce within their own businesses. Spencer Ogden is very proud to say that two of their employees made the list!
These forward-thinking women have turned challenges into springboards to success. From heading up impactful organizations to steering essential projects to fine-tuning the hybrid model, they have led with grace and empathy,” said Subadhra Sriram, SIA’s editor and publisher, media products.
Catherine Phillips joined Spencer Ogden as CFO in 2020 at a time when the business received a majority equity investment from MML Capital Partners. Phillips, whose employment coincided with the onset of Covid-19, helped the company navigate the pandemic with a people-first approach. Recently, she worked to modernize Spencer Ogden’s systems and processes with technology, enabling the organization to be more forward-looking while creating a global platform for continued growth and scale. Phillips is also passionate about career building internally and within candidates, concentrating on their continued success. She currently is focused on growing DE&I, staff development, and sustainability.
With a long-standing career in recruitment, Mindy Prefling, Spencer Ogden’s Senior Manager – renewable energy and sustainability, is passionate about developing careers to power a sustainable future in the renewable energy industry. Under her leadership, the renewable energy division has tripled revenue since 2020. An advocate for equality within Spencer Ogden as well as the renewable energy industry, she was instrumental in developing and launching Spencer Ogden’s first podcast, the SOapbox Series, where she invites industry thought leaders to discuss talent challenges with a focus on DE&I. Prefling is an active member of WRISE, or Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy, a national non-profit working across the renewable energy economy to change our energy future through the collective power of community.
“I am very proud to see that two of our employees have been recognised alongside some hugely influential women in the industry. Both Catherine and Mindy are a big part of Spencer Ogden’s success, and they are not only great role models to the industry but to the rest of our female employees at Spencer Ogden. A big congratulations to them both,” Bradley Lewington, CEO, Spencer Ogden.
