Insights into the key people movements and shifts shaping the energy transition.

This report highlights finance moves across Private Equity, Independent Power Producers, Developers, and Owner/Operators across Power & Utilities, Renewable Energy, and Infrastructure teams.

Key Insights:

  • Despite policy uncertainty and market volatility in 2025, the renewable energy sector proved resilient. Hiring became more strategic and volatility unlocked access to high-calibre professionals who would normally stay off-market.

  • Well-capitalized PE platforms leaned into capital formation, IR, and digital infrastructure. Those on the market prioritized stability, diversified mandates, and proximity to capital.

  • Project finance dominated IPP and portfolio company hiring through most of 2025, reflecting policy and tax credit uncertainty. By year-end, demand shifted toward M&A, Corporate Development, and Portfolio Management.

  • Companies aren’t hiring more people; they’re hiring better ones. Senior talent is more open to moving, but only toward platforms with real capital, stability, and a seat at the strategic table.

Explore the trends, hiring patterns, and strategic moves that defined 2025.
