About the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven Account Manager with a strong new client engagement focus to expand the company’s customer base across the South East Asia region. This role is heavily weighted toward originating new client relationships, opening new accounts, and converting early-stage engagement into long-term commercial partnerships.


The successful candidate will act as a front-line commercial representative in the region, engaging with new customers, identifying project opportunities, and leading the commercial cycle from initial outreach through to contract negotiation and close. This is a high-impact role for a proactive, hunter-minded individual with strong market presence and deal-closing capability in the BESS sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, develop, and secure new client relationships across the SEA renewable energy market
  • Originate and qualify new commercial opportunities with utilities, IPPs, EPCs, developers, and strategic partners targeting large scale utility projects 
  • Lead early-stage client engagement, market entry discussions, and solution positioning
  • Drive the full commercial lifecycle from lead generation and opportunity development through proposal, negotiation, and contract close
  • Develop and execute regional new business and market penetration strategies
  • Work closely with internal engineering, sales, and project teams to shape commercially viable technical solutions
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with decision-makers, sponsors, and project stakeholders
  • Monitor regional market trends, policy developments, and competitor activity to identify white-space opportunities
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to expand market presence and pipeline
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, opportunity tracking, and reporting


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of commercial experience in business development, account management, or sales within renewable energy, power, or infrastructure sectors
  • Demonstrated success in new client acquisition, market entry, and deal origination
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, particularly wind and energy storage systems
  • Proven ability to lead commercial negotiations and close complex, high-value contracts
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hunter-oriented approach
  • Comfortable working independently in a regional, cross-border environment
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required
