Assistant Manager, Chartering and Feedstock Operations

Location: Singapore


This Role is responsible for overseeing the coordination of vessel chartering, feedstock logistics, and procurement operations to ensure seamless execution of the company's supply chain and trading activities. This role leads a small operations team, providing guidance and direction to ensure efficient chartering execution, timely delivery, and accurate documentation of feedstock cargoes. The position exists to drive operational excellence, optimize logistics performance, and uphold compliance and quality standards across all shipments and procurement processes, contributing directly to business continuity, cost efficiency, and supply reliability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee marine logistics and cargo coordination activities to support efficient movement of bulk commodities across regional supply chains
  • Coordinate shipping schedules, freight arrangements, and operational execution with external logistics partners and service providers
  • Support procurement and supply operations by monitoring order progress, delivery timelines, and inventory records
  • Ensure timely preparation and verification of operational, shipping, and commercial documentation
  • Work closely with internal planning, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of cargo and logistics activities
  • Monitor vessel movements, shipment performance, and operational risks, proactively resolving delays or execution issues
  • Support claims handling and operational cost control processes related to cargo and logistics activities
  • Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation initiatives to enhance efficiency, visibility, and overall supply chain performance

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Maritime, or a related discipline
  • Minimally 5 years of experience in cargo operations and vessel chartering,
  • Exposure to marine logistics, commodity trading, feedstock operations, or supply chain execution environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of shipping documentation, charter party terms, and cargo coordination processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Proactive, resourceful, and highly organised approach to work
  • Strong integrity, accountability, and professionalism
