Title: Assistant Project Manager
Location: Queens, NY
Rate: $55.69/hr
Duration: 6 months with potential to extend
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Project Management Team with construction and implementation of energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable technology projects in retail, commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities;
• Provide accurate and timely project status updates and communication to Project Managers;
• Participate in and contribute to weekly construction meetings at various project site locations;
• Organize and maintain project related files, drawings, materials, and correspondence;
• Assist with issuing bid packages to vendors and subcontractors for pricing and delivery schedules;
• Assist with management project finances, vendor invoices, and client reporting activities.
• Prepare spreadsheets, analyze proposals, and conduct project review meetings;
• Perform and present findings on research related to project specifications, drawings, contract documents, financial reports, and other project related material.
• Collaborate with internal functions to prepare and maintain all forms of reports, meeting minutes, presentations, documentation, and related project material;
• Assist with ensuring compliance with company, industry, trade, and regulatory safety, standards, practices, and codes;
• Observe vendors and subcontractors onsite while providing administrative and technical support.
• Foster positive and effective business relationships with all parties.
• Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related engineering discipline, or demonstrated level of equivalent job experience. • Ability to review confidential US security information.
Additional Qualifications:
• Exposure to large scale construction projects involving upgrades, renovations, and retrofits involving institutional, government, commercial and industrial customer sites.
• Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
• Proficiency in Procore or other PM software.
• Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks.
• Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
