Job Description:

As a Cost Management Associate Director, you will be responsible for overseeing cost management activities within the organization. You will work closely with senior management to develop cost-saving strategies and ensure that projects are completed within budget. Your role will involve analysing financial data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing recommendations to improve cost efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost management services from feasibility through to final account
  • Develop and manage budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
  • Provide commercial advice and value engineering to optimise project outcomes
  • Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiations
  • Oversee contract administration and change management
  • Monitor project costs, risks, and financial performance
  • Act as a key client interface, providing clear and strategic reporting
  • Support and mentor junior team members, driving high performance

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong Experience in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management
  • Proven track record on large-scale construction projects (£50m+)
  • Data centre or mission-critical experience preferred
  • Background within a consultancy environment
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management abilities
  • Degree qualified (Quantity Surveying or related)
  • Professional accreditation (e.g. MRICS) preferred
