Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced EHS Supervisor to support a major outage project involving the pre-assembly and assembly of large industrial equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities on site, ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements. You will lead by example, promoting a proactive safety culture and ensuring that all personnel operate in a safe and compliant manner throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain EHS procedures, standards, and policies in line with project and legislative requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections, safety briefings, and toolbox talks.
Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures.
Lead and document incident investigations and corrective actions.
Provide EHS coaching and support to supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors.
Manage and maintain safety documentation, including risk assessments, permits, and reports.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure ongoing compliance.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance.
Requirements
Proven experience as an EHS Supervisor, HSE Advisor, or similar role on large industrial, construction, or energy projects.
Recognised EHS qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent).
Strong understanding of UK Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive a positive safety culture.
Prior experience on outage, turnaround, or heavy equipment assembly projects preferred.
Ability to commit to a 6-day work week for the duration of the project.
Additional Information
This position is Inside IR35 and offered on an all-inclusive rate covering accommodation and travel.
