We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Data Center Superintendent to oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mission-critical electrical systems supporting hyperscale and enterprise data centers. The role requires proven leadership in managing contractors, maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and ensuring that all electrical work aligns with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.

This is a rotational position (11 days on / 3 days off) based in the Northern Virginia data center corridor or the Atlanta metro area, providing consistent oversight of high-volume projects in two of the nation’s leading data center markets.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise electrical construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors on data center projects from site mobilization through closeout.

Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and client-specific standards for all electrical installations.

Oversee installation of medium-voltage and low-voltage distribution, UPS systems, switchgear, generators, busway, grounding systems, and critical power infrastructure.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and commissioning teams to meet schedule milestones and budget objectives.

Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce safety compliance, and maintain zero-incident culture on site.

Review project drawings, submittals, and as-builts for accuracy and constructability.

Manage inspection schedules, QA/QC documentation, and turnover packages for client acceptance.

Provide regular progress reports to project leadership and client stakeholders.

Troubleshoot field issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

8+ years of electrical construction experience with at least 3+ years in a superintendent or leadership capacity.

Proven track record delivering mission-critical data center projects (hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise).

Strong technical knowledge of critical electrical systems including UPS, switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, and generator backup systems.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, and technical specifications.

OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety training (NFPA 70E, CPR, First Aid) preferred.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Willingness to work rotational shifts (11 days on / 3 days off) and travel as needed.
