An Expediting Manager at Exyte would play a critical role in keeping complex, high-tech construction projects—like semiconductor fabs, pharmaceutical facilities, or data centers—on schedule by ensuring that materials, equipment, and documentation are delivered on time, in full, and to spec. Here's a breakdown of what that would involve specifically at a company like Exyte:

? Core Responsibilities of an Expediting Manager at Exyte:

    ? Vendor & Supplier Coordination

  • Track supplier production schedules and ensure timely fabrication, testing, and delivery of critical equipment (e.g., HVAC systems, cleanroom components, process tools).

  • Interface daily with suppliers to prevent or resolve delays—this can include factory visits or virtual inspections.

  • ? Documentation & Compliance Tracking

  • Ensure required documentation—like inspection reports, material certificates, shipping releases—is submitted and approved per project schedules and client requirements.

  • Coordinate closely with QA/QC, engineering, and procurement to make sure deliverables meet technical specs.

  • ? Logistics & Shipping Readiness

  • Align shipping plans with project timelines; track freight logistics and customs clearance if international shipments are involved.

  • Monitor for early warning signs of late shipments and escalate issues quickly with mitigation plans.

  • ?? Schedule Assurance & Reporting

  • Maintain real-time expediting logs and dashboards in project management systems (e.g., SAP, Primavera).

  • Lead regular expediting meetings with stakeholders and provide updates to Project Managers, Construction, and Procurement.

  • ? Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with engineering to prioritize long-lead items.

  • ? Why It’s Critical at Exyte:

Exyte builds ultra-complex facilities—like semiconductor cleanrooms—that rely on thousands of custom-ordered components with very tight tolerances. A single delayed air handler, filter unit, or process piping skid could delay an entire phase of the project. The Expediting Manager helps mitigate that risk and keep the build on track.

  • Partner with construction managers and site teams to ensure deliveries are aligned with the construction sequence and jobsite readiness.
