Position Overview
Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Owner’s Representative to support the delivery of our distributed generation solar projects. This role is critical to ensuring that Client’s interests are represented on the job site — maintaining the highest standards in safety, quality, and performance.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in solar construction with knowledge of civil construction and experience overseeing contractors and EPC partners. You will be responsible for ensuring that each project site complies with Client’s expectations from mobilization through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as Client’s on-site representative to ensure construction quality, schedule adherence, and safety compliance.
• Monitor day-to-day construction activities and proactively address field-level issues.
• Coordinate with Client’s internal development, engineering, and construction management teams.
• Communicate and enforce safety expectations in compliance with OSHA and Client's internal protocols.
• Review and verify contractor performance, daily reports, and project milestones.
• Support quality assurance and punch-list closeout.
• Track construction progress and provide field updates to the internal project team.
• Liaise with local permitting authorities, inspectors, and stakeholders as needed.
• Escalate delays, risks, or conflicts to Client management in a timely and solution-oriented manner.

Required Qualifications
• 2–5 years of solar construction experience in community, commercial, or utility projects.
• Experience overseeing contractors or subcontractors on active construction sites.
• OSHA 10 certification at start required; OSHA 30 must be completed within 30 days. (Reimbursement provided upon completion.)
• CPR/First Aid certification required before mobilization.
• Familiarity with civil construction practices (grading, erosion control, trenching, foundations, etc.).
• Ability to interpret construction documents, site plans, and technical drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and field documentation/reporting tools.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A passion for renewable energy

Preferred Qualifications
• OSHA 30 certification at time of hire.
• Prior experience on community solar or similar solar DG projects.
• Experience with project commissioning and interconnection processes.
• Background in managing multiple field crews or subcontractor trades.

• Travel Required: Yes – regional travel to job sites. 3 -4 Sites within Illinois
