Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Development (Delivery Function) division. This critical role involves leading projects from development to delivery, through construction and commissioning, ensuring a smooth handover to operations.

Location:

Melbourne (preferred) or Sydney. This position requires frequent travel and time away from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee designated construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
  • Contractor and Advisor Management: Build strong relationships with contractors and other delivery partners, driving performance and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain transparent and trustworthy relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Lead and inspire project teams, promoting a positive and proactive work culture.
  • Health, Safety & Environment: Implement and adhere to safety policies, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.

Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years’ experience in the development and delivery of large infrastructure projects, preferably in power or renewable energy.
  • Proven track record managing large projects through all phases of construction.
  • Strong experience in contract management and project controls.
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety management in construction projects.
  • Familiarity with Australian environmental and planning regulations is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related technical discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar is desirable.
  • Full driver’s license is required.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on results and accountability.
  • Flexibility for regular domestic travel and ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
