Document Manager, Renewable Energy Projects

About the Opportunity

An international renewable energy platform is seeking an experienced Document Manager to support the delivery of large-scale energy projects across the region. The Document Manager will oversee the control, distribution, compliance, and integrity of all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, from development and engineering through to construction, commissioning, and final handover.


Working closely with EPC contractors, consultants, project managers, engineering teams, and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure the timely management of technical documentation, contracts, permits, QA/QC records, HSE documentation, regulatory submissions, and project reports across large-scale renewable energy developments.


This role will also support the implementation of robust document control procedures and maintain compliance with industry standards and internal governance requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain project documentation across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases
  • Oversee document control processes including version control, tracking, approvals, distribution, and archiving
  • Coordinate documentation flow between project teams, EPC contractors, consultants, suppliers, and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with project standards, regulatory requirements, QA/QC procedures, and HSE documentation protocols
  • Administer document management systems such as Aconex, Procore, BIM 360, or SharePoint
  • Conduct document audits and generate reporting on submission status, approvals, and project milestones
  • Support project closeout activities including as-built documentation and final handover packages
  • Act as the key point of contact for all document management and document control related matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Information Management, or a related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in document management or document control within large-scale infrastructure, energy, industrial, or EPC projects
  • Experience supporting renewable energy, power generation, transmission, wind, solar, BESS, or industrial developments would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of engineering and construction documentation processes
  • Experience using document management systems such as Aconex, Procore, Autodesk BIM 360, or SharePoint
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities
