SEA Project Director
Location: Singapore, Flexible
An international renewable energy and infrastructure business is seeking an experienced regional leader to oversee turbine supply and installation activities across Southeast Asia. This position will lead large-scale wind project execution across transportation, installation, commissioning coordination, operational delivery, and stakeholder management, ensuring strong performance across safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional turbine supply and installation (TSI) activities across multiple utility-scale wind energy projects
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery including logistics coordination, site execution, installation management, commissioning interface, and operational readiness
- Drive project performance across EHS, quality assurance, project schedules, budget management, and delivery governance
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing multicultural project delivery and site management teams across the region
- Coordinate closely with clients, EPC contractors, transport providers, installation subcontractors, suppliers, and internal engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Strengthen and optimise TSI delivery processes, reporting structures, operational workflows, and governance systems to improve execution efficiency and transparency
- Ensure compliance with international safety and quality standards while aligning with local regulatory and construction requirements across regional markets
- Support commercial activities including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, financial tracking, and project risk management
- Proactively identify project execution risks, installation challenges, and operational bottlenecks, driving timely corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Capture lessons learned and establish best practices to strengthen long-term regional TSI delivery capability
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience within wind energy project delivery, turbine installation, heavy logistics, construction execution, or related infrastructure sectors
- Proven track record managing large-scale international wind projects across multiple countries
- Strong understanding of turbine installation methodologies, project execution planning, EHS standards, quality management systems, and contractor coordination
- Experience leading geographically dispersed and multicultural project teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities across technical, commercial, and operational functions
- Commercially aware with experience in budgeting, forecasting, operational planning, and project risk mitigation
- Fluent English communication skills required; additional regional language capabilities are advantageous
- Open to frequent regional travel
