About the Role

We are partnering with a leading global energy storage solutions provider to appoint a Sales Manager to support business growth across Malaysia. 


This is a high-impact opportunity for a motivated, commercially driven sales professional who thrives in a high-growth environment and has a proven ability to build strong relationships, develop new markets, and drive revenue in the renewable energy / battery energy storage (BESS) sector.


As the first in-country hire, you will play a pivotal role in expanding regional market presence and shaping long-term customer partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new markets and customer relationships across Southeast Asia, driving sales growth for energy storage solutions
  • Build and execute strong sales strategies to achieve targets and grow market share in a competitive environment
  • Manage and develop long-term relationships with key customers to improve satisfaction and retention
  • Respond to customer needs promptly and provide professional, solutions-oriented support
  • Conduct market mapping, analysis, and competitive intelligence to understand trends and opportunities
  • Use market feedback and performance data to continuously optimise sales approach and improve results

Key Requirements

  • 5–10 years of sales experience, ideally within renewable energy / energy storage
  • Strong track record in new business development and relationship-driven sales
  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
  • Experience selling into large-scale storage projects is highly preferred
  • Existing relationships across local government bodies, utilities/DOE, and supply chain partners will be an advantage
