A Snapshot of Your Day
You’ll play a key role in driving procurement performance across the business, managing complex supplier relationships, high data volumes, and time-critical purchasing activities. This role goes beyond transactional buying — it requires strong analytical capability, commercial judgement, and a continuous improvement mindset to support business and operational targets.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Manage a diverse supplier portfolio, including initial part sourcing, price adjustment negotiations, and resolution of invoicing and payment discrepancies
Own and manage a high-volume workqueue, ensuring purchase orders are raised accurately and on time
Partner closely with internal stakeholders (MRPCs, requisitioners, engineering, and planning teams) to ensure strong customer care and early procurement involvement
Drive the use of globally defined procurement methods, processes, and systems to ensure efficiency, compliance, and transparency (e.g. Purchase-to-Pay, procurement guidelines, SAP, and related IT tools)
Support and contribute to Supplier Management activities, including supplier qualification, selection, evaluation, development, and classification
Maintain and continuously update supplier evaluation systems to strengthen supplier performance and procurement quality
Ensure accurate documentation, contract compliance, and adherence to online purchasing and contract management systems
Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Act as a problem-solver and “fixer,” proactively identifying issues, analysing root causes, and implementing practical solutions
What You Bring
Strong SAP transactional experience (PS1 ATLAS module in a production environment)
Advanced Excel skills with high confidence handling large data sets; Power BI experience is highly desirable
5+ years’ experience in Direct Procurement within complex, fast-paced environments
Strong analytical mindset with a lean / continuous improvement approach
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing priorities and deadlines effectively
Experience working in global, matrixed organisations
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
English – Advanced / Fluent
Nice to Have / Highly Valued
Background in aerospace or industrial manufacturing environments
Experience sourcing and managing complex products such as castings and forgings
Strong commercial acumen and confidence challenging suppliers and internal stakeholders constructively
