Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Planner III to join our team in Garner. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of substation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and experience working in the utility industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed plans and specifications for substation projects
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met
  • Perform site visits and inspections to assess project feasibility and compliance with regulations
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior planners and engineers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address project requirements and challenges

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in substation planning and design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
