We are seeking a Senior Supervising Mechanical Engineer to serve as Engineer of Record on complex projects, providing both technical leadership and team management. This position involves guiding multidisciplinary coordination meetings, overseeing staff performance, and managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects, ensuring technical quality and compliance.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate engineering staff; support ongoing technical training and development.
Assign and coordinate mechanical engineering work including system design and project engineering.
Establish and maintain design standards, specifications, and criteria.
Oversee construction administration activities such as field reports, RFI responses, bulletins, and addenda.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing; assist with invoicing and accounts receivable follow-up.
Prepare proposals and administer contracts, including add-service agreements.
Supervise preparation of engineering analyses, reports, and building condition assessments.
Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and project teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
PE license required.
15+ years in mechanical engineering within the MEP consulting industry, including 7+ years of project management experience and 3+ years in a supervisory capacity.
Proven healthcare design experience; additional background in mission-critical, federal, commercial, and aviation projects preferred.
Hands-on design expertise and proficiency in CAD and Revit.
