About the Role
Spencer Ogden is partnering with a leading renewable energy developer to recruit a Senior FOU Lead Contract Manager to support a major offshore wind development in Europe.
This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced contract management professional with strong offshore wind or large-scale infrastructure experience. The role will focus on the commercial management and administration of complex foundation and supply contracts, ensuring contractual compliance, mitigating risk, and protecting project value throughout execution.
Key Responsibilities
Support technical teams in the execution and interpretation of complex contracts, including detailed review of operational clauses and sub-clauses.
Lead the commercial management of foundation-related contracts, ensuring all parties meet their contractual obligations.
Monitor contract performance, milestones, deliverables, and reporting.
Identify commercial and contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise cost and schedule impact.
Lead negotiations on claims, variations, and amendments with contractors and suppliers.
Draft and manage commercial correspondence, variation orders, and formal communications.
Provide proactive advice on contractual rights and obligations.
Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement in contract and commercial processes.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Procurement, Legal, Finance, Insurance, HSE, QA/QC, and Project Delivery.
Required Experience
Proven experience in contract administration or contract management within offshore wind, energy, infrastructure, or heavy engineering projects.
Strong experience managing warranty claims and leading cross-functional technical and commercial negotiations.
Solid understanding of contract law principles and commercial risk allocation.
Demonstrated ability to manage contractor claims and variations effectively.
Extensive industry experience within Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind, or similar large-scale infrastructure environments.
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines.
Flexibility to travel regularly across Germany, Spain, and the UK.
Highly Desirable
Experience working on XXL foundations wind farm projects.
Experience implementing Free Issued Equipment (FIE).
Experience managing transport and installation contracts.
Working Model
Hybrid working (minimum 2 days in office per week)
Office-based role (no offshore/site working required)
IT equipment and mobile phone provided
