This role is pivotal in bridging R&D breakthroughs to commercial deployment, ensuring robust project execution, and fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration.

As the Lead Process Engineer, you will be a critical technical lead in the execution of SAF production projects. You will oversee the development, optimization, and implementation of process design across the project lifecycle - from front-end engineering (FEED) through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and start-up. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including EPCs, technology licensors, operations, and regulatory bodies to ensure safe, scalable, and efficient deployment of our SAF technology.

If you have deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience across gasification, syngas production, upgrading, advanced hydrogen and carbon conversion processes—and thrive in collaborative, agile environments, this is your opportunity to drive the energy transition.

  • Lead the development of process engineering deliverables: PFDs, P&IDs, HMBs, data sheets, control philosophies, and simulations
  • Ensure process design aligns with technology requirements, safety standards, environmental regulations, and business objectives
  • Collaborate with project managers, EPC partners, and internal stakeholders (core engineering, R&D) to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Coordinate with feedstock, utilities, operations, and sustainability teams to ensure end-to-end process integration
  • Support FEED, detailed design, procurement, and construction activities as the process technical authority
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities, including operational readiness testing and SOP development
  • Participate in design reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL), constructability reviews, and process safety assessments
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams
  • Interface with licensors, regulators, and certification bodies (e.g., ASTM D7566 pathways for SAF)
  • Drive future process optimization, debottlenecking, and yield improvement efforts across the value chain
Qualifications
  • B.S. or MS in Chemical Engineering with 15+ years of experience in renewable fuels, refining, or process engineering, with 5 years in a lead process engineer or process team leadership role
  • Proven track record in technology scale-up, FOAK/pilot plant or demo operations, project execution, and techno-economic evaluation
  • Deep familiarity with reforming, Fischer-Tropsch, and product upgrading
  • Experience with process safety practices (HAZOP, FMEA) and project management
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environments and lead cross-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with process control systems (PLC/DCS) and field instrumentation is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 35% for site visits, fab yards, vendor and stakeholder meetings
Desirable Experience
  • Experience with SAF pathways (e.g., HEFA, FT-SPK, ATJ), renewable fuels, or bio-based chemical production
  • Familiarity with Singapore’s environmental and industrial regulations (e.g., NEA, SCDF, JTC requirements)
