Job Description:

As a Lead Protection & Control Engineer for substations, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of protection and control systems for electrical substations. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the substation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop protection and control schemes for new substation projects
  • Review and approve protection and control drawings and settings
  • Perform relay coordination studies and fault analysis
  • Lead commissioning activities for protection and control systems
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in protection and control engineering for substations
  • Proficiency in relay coordination software and protection relay testing
  • Strong understanding of electrical power systems and substation design
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • PE license preferred
