The Opportunity
We are representing a high-growth, venture-backed climate and infrastructure technology company seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Financial Modeler to support complex capital investment decisions across large-scale industrial and energy projects.
This role sits at the intersection of project finance, techno-economic analysis, and strategic decision-making, working closely with senior leadership, project development, engineering, and commercial teams. It is well suited to a financially rigorous, analytically strong professional who enjoys translating complex technical and economic data into clear investment insights.
Key Responsibilities
Project Financial Modelling & Analysis

Develop, maintain, and refine detailed discounted cash flow (DCF) models for capital-intensive infrastructure and industrial projects

Perform sensitivity, scenario, and risk analysis to assess project robustness and downside exposure

Evaluate project economics and key value drivers to support investment decisions
Capital Project & Techno-Economic Evaluation

Build and run financial models for multi-faceted infrastructure projects with varying configurations, inputs, and site assumptions

Calculate and interpret key metrics including NPV, IRR, ROI, payback period, DSCR, and levelised cost metrics

Partner closely with engineering, technical, and project teams to validate assumptions and inputs

Support the development of internal modelling tools and templates to enable rapid scenario testing
Strategic Insight & Stakeholder Reporting

Prepare clear, concise presentations and materials for senior stakeholders to support capital allocation decisions

Develop dashboards and reporting outputs to track project performance against economic expectations
Budgeting, Forecasting & Continuous Improvement

Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for capital projects
-
Track financial performance of active projects and highlight variances and improvement opportunities

Continuously improve modelling approaches and stay informed on industry trends and best practices
Candidate Profile
Experience & Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related quantitative discipline
-
4+ years’ experience in financial modelling for capital projects, infrastructure, energy, industrials, or investment banking
Technical Capability

Advanced Excel-based financial modelling skills (Power BI or TEA platforms advantageous)

Strong understanding of project finance structures, including non-recourse or limited-recourse financing
-
Solid grounding in financial and accounting principles
