About the Role

Join a world-leading wind energy OEM as their dedicated Proposal Manager for Southeast Asia. This critical commercial role owns the complete proposal lifecycle from initial bid assessment through contract handover, directly impacting revenue generation across Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

You'll be the primary interface between Sales, Engineering, and client teams, translating complex technical wind solutions into winning proposals while managing multi-million dollar bid processes.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Leadership

• Lead end-to-end proposal development for utility-scale wind projects across SEA

• Execute bid/no-bid assessments and develop winning strategies for competitive tenders

• Interface directly with client procurement teams during tender processes

• Manage BAFO processes and contract negotiation support

Technical-Commercial Integration

• Collaborate with Solutions teams on optimal wind farm configurations

• Define execution strategies: transportation, installation, commissioning

• Coordinate technical specifications, performance guarantees, grid compliance

• Support non-standard scope and project-specific solutions

Financial Modeling & Risk

• Build comprehensive LCOE models and sensitivity analyses

• Develop competitive pricing while maintaining target margins

• Identify, assess and quantify project risks and opportunities

• Implement risk mitigation and contingency strategies

Supplier & Procurement

• Support crane, installation, and logistics supplier development

• Prepare tender documentation and normalize supplier quotations

• Maintain knowledge of regional equipment capabilities

• Conduct supplier evaluations and contract reviews

Market Intelligence

• Monitor regional tender opportunities and competitive positioning

• Conduct cost analyses and improvement benchmarking

• Provide cost optimization feedback to global teams

• Maintain expertise in grid codes and regulatory requirements

Essential Requirements

Education & Experience

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil preferred)

• Minimum 10 years in proposal/project management

• Essential wind energy experience in sales, transport, cranes, or project management

• Proven track record in competitive tender wins

Technical Skills

• Deep wind farm development and installation knowledge

• Transportation, crane logistics, and BoP integration experience

• PPA, grid interconnection, and regulatory framework understanding

• Financial modeling and LCOE calculation expertise

Regional Expertise

• Comprehensive SEA renewable energy market knowledge

• Understanding of local content, import regulations, tax structures

• Experience with regional supplier networks and contractors

• Familiarity with Vietnam PDP, Philippines GEAP, Thailand/Malaysia/Indonesia frameworks

Languages & Communication

• Fluent English (written and verbal) - essential

• Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities

• Advanced presentation and negotiation skills

• Strong commercial acumen

Target Background

We are seeking candidates with proven experience in the wind energy sector, with direct exposure to proposal management and technical-commercial integration is most relevant.

Candidates from specialized crane and logistics companies and other major installation contractors will also be considered, given their deep understanding of the complex logistics and installation challenges critical to wind project success.

Additionally, we welcome applications from EPC contractors with substantial wind energy proposal experience who can demonstrate strong commercial acumen and technical project delivery capabilities.
