Senior Authorised Person / Chargé de Consignation

Location: Offshore - Initially Noirmoutier wind farm, then Dieppe-Treport wind farm

Contract Duration: August 2024 – December 2026

Rotation: 2 weeks ON/ 2 weeks OFF

Job Purpose: To ensure Electrical Safety on Site is well managed. Responsibilities include identifying, applying, managing, and removing isolations on 66kV and 225kV equipment; participating in Hot Commissioning and 1st Energizations of all Electrical Network components; and controlling the electrical installation during work activities to ensure safe execution.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Perform power system operations and maintenance.
• Investigate faults on site and inform the Control Engineer.
• Develop and enforce a strong, positive electrical QHSE culture.
• Ensure safe switching, operation of plant and equipment in accordance with established Electrical Safety Rules.
• Supervise and witness third-party 66kV and 225kV commissioning activities.
• Ensure commissioning works adhere to established procedures, contracts, and project requirements in terms of HSE, quality, planning, and budget.
• Issue and manage Electrical Safety and Commissioning Documentation.
• Mentor junior SAPs and O&M technicians in HV switching operations.
• Coordinate and execute various testing and inspection procedures.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in High Voltage network and equipment operation.
• Qualified and authorized to operate equipment up to 225kV.
• Excellent understanding of Interlockings, Control and Protection systems.
• Previous experience as HV SAP or HV Commissioning Engineer on offshore wind farm is a plus.
• Ability to create excellent results through teamwork and develop good relationships with colleagues and external business partners.
• Proficiency in English required; fluency in French is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications including GWO – WaH, FF, FA, SS, MH, and a medical certificate to work offshore.
