Sales Director - Hydrogen Solutions
Position Overview
The Sales Director will be responsible for driving the company's hydrogen business within the South Korean region. This role requires strong market insight, strategic planning capabilities, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to secure strategic hydrogen projects, strengthen customer relationships, and achieve business growth in highly competitive international markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Planning – Based on regional and customer insights, analyze potential customers, customer needs, and competitors; identify target markets; and, in alignment with the company's and department's market insights and plans, formulate operational strategies for the South Korean hydrogen market and ensure effective execution.
2. Customer Relationship Management – Lead the management and maintenance of multi-dimensional relationships with strategic customers, integrate internal resources, facilitate multi-level communication and cooperation, and enhance customer loyalty.
Regional Opportunity Development – Collect and organize customer resources, establish regular communication mechanisms, closely monitor customer needs and potential, and build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
3. Opportunity Management – Oversee strategic hydrogen opportunities and regional project pipelines; based on annual targets and customer segmentation, conduct in-depth prospecting to ensure a high conversion rate of opportunities into orders.
4. Order Acquisition – Through effective market exploration, timely and accurate information gathering and analysis, develop pre-bid guidance and customer engagement strategies; design customized hydrogen project solutions that align with customer value requirements to secure orders, increase market share, and achieve business targets.
5. Sales & Competitive Analysis – Lead the team in sales and competitive data analysis, strategic account profiling, customer relationship management, performance evaluation, lead and opportunity tracking, payment collection monitoring, and contract quality improvement.
6. Contract & Service Fulfillment – Be familiar with contract execution and service delivery processes; establish and enhance related local capabilities to continuously improve customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives.
7. Talent Development – Build and manage a high-performance local team through clear goal-setting, empowerment, team structure optimization, capability enhancement, and incentive mechanisms to support sustainable business growth.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Over 10 years of experience in solution design, project development, EPC, or technical management in the hydrogen industry, with at least 8 years of international market experience.
3. In-depth understanding of hydrogen production, storage, and distribution systems, fuel cell technology, and international standards (such as IEC/IEEE).
4. Proven experience in large-scale hydrogen project bidding, contract negotiation, and full project lifecycle management.
5. Excellent strategic thinking, cross-cultural communication, and senior-level client relationship management skills.
6. Familiarity with the South Korean hydrogen market and regulatory environment is essential.
7. Willingness and ability to adapt to frequent international travel and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
8. Fluency in English and Korean is required.
