Sales Manager (KR)

Sales Manager – Data Centres

? South Korea (Seoul / Busan) ? Permanent ? Thermal & Cooling Technology OEM
A global leader in thermal management and heat exchanger solutions is expanding its data centre commercial team across South Korea. Backed by a major international PE fund, the company is in active scale-up mode, with data centres as its top global growth priority. This is a front-line, hunter-style sales role with direct budget ownership and strong internal engineering support.

The Opportunity

South Korea is one of the fastest-growing data centre markets in Asia, with Seoul's installed capacity exceeding 530 MW and a 715+ MW active development pipeline. The hyperscale cloud sector is expanding rapidly, driven by major US hyperscalers and domestic tech giants. Our client is strengthening its commercial presence to capture this growth and requires a driven sales professional to lead new business development across the Seoul and Busan markets.

The Role

As Sales Manager – Data Centres, you will own the company's data centre sales budget for South Korea. You will be the commercial face to hyperscale cloud operators, colocation platforms, engineering consultants, EPCs, and mechanical contractors. This is a build role – you will be expected to open new accounts, influence project specifications at an early stage, and position the company as the preferred cooling solutions partner for major data centre developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the annual data centre sales budget for South Korea
  • Identify, target, and secure new business with hyperscale and colocation customers across Seoul, Busan, and adjacent markets
  • Engage early in project lifecycles to influence cooling and heat rejection specifications
  • Build and maintain relationships with DC owners and operators, design consultants, EPCs, and key contractors
  • Develop and execute a country-specific sales strategy aligned with the company's regional and global objectives
  • Work closely with application engineering, solution support, and factory teams to deliver technically robust and commercially competitive proposals
  • Monitor market activity, competitor positioning, and customer investment trends; provide actionable feedback to regional leadership
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting through CRM tools
  • Support long-term partnerships by understanding customer expansion plans and operational requirements
  • Operate in full compliance with the company's integrity and compliance standards

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of front-end technical sales or business development in data centres, cooling solutions, or critical infrastructure
  • Proven track record of winning new customers and delivering strong sales growth
  • Solid knowledge of the South Korean data centre ecosystem: hyperscalers, colo operators, EPCs, and consultants
  • Technical understanding of cooling technologies, heat rejection systems, or related mechanical infrastructure
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organisation with cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration
  • Willingness to travel within South Korea and across North-East Asia as required
  • Korean language proficiency strongly preferred; English fluency required

Why This Role

  • Ownership of a fast-growing market at exactly the right time – South Korea's hyperscale build-out is accelerating
  • Work for a globally recognised OEM with proven large-scale hyperscale references and a full product suite
  • PE-backed platform in active growth mode, with real investment in headcount, technology, and market expansion
  • Clear path to senior commercial leadership as the business scales across North-East Asia
  • Strong back-end support: global application engineering, solution support, and 18+ manufacturing sites
