The Opportunity

  • As a Senior Project Engineer, Electrical, you’ll take ownership of complex electrical designs across data centre and building services projects, from initial concept through to completion. 
  • You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure design quality and compliance, and be the key technical interface for clients. 
  • This role is ideal for an engineer who combines hands?on expertise with the ability to manage people, projects, and performance under pressure.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the delivery of large and medium?scale electrical building services projects
  • Design and specify electrical systems including LV/MV power, UPS, lighting, emergency systems, and fire alarms
  • Oversee and mentor a team of engineers while managing workload and project deliverables
  • Prepare tender and design documentation, reports, technical analyses, and client recommendations
  • Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and vendors to drive coordination and technical excellence
  • Manage scope, budgets, and schedules while maintaining project quality and compliance
  • Support continuous innovation, sustainability, and adoption of smart technologies across all designs

What you’ll bring:

  • Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
  • 8+ years’ experience in electrical building services, including at least 3 in data centre or mission?critical projects
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status (Engineers Ireland or equivalent)
  • Proven experience managing full project lifecycles and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong knowledge of IEC, IS, BS, and EN standards, plus LEED/BREEAM awareness
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Bluebeam, and power analysis software (ETAP, Amtech, Dialux)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client?facing confidence
  • Detail?oriented approach with a proactive, collaborative mindset
