Technical Advisor - Hydro Generator

Overview:

The Hydroelectric Technical Advisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of hydroelectric facilities while providing on-site technical expertise. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable performance of hydroelectric systems, while supporting installation, maintenance, and optimization of equipment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations across hydroelectric sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of hydroelectric equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational or technical issues to maintain system reliability.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, improve processes, and implement operational improvements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and scheduling to support project and site objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, maintenance, and equipment status.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydroelectric operations, maintenance, or field technical support.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintaining hydroelectric equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and best practices in hydroelectric operations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field environments.
