Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Vice President of Investments to lead and execute complex investment strategies across our renewable energy portfolio. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for driving financial analysis, project financing, tender processes, and M&A transactions to support aggressive growth plans in the Australian energy market.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Develop and oversee detailed financial models to support investment decisions across solar, battery, and wind projects.
• Lead the full lifecycle of project financing, including debt structuring, equity funding, and financial close.
• Drive competitive tender processes, negotiating commercial terms and aligning projects with strategic growth objectives.
• Lead M&A activities, including identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets, conducting due diligence, and managing transaction execution.
• Collaborate closely with technical, legal, and operational teams to ensure project viability and commercial success.
• Present financial analyses, investment recommendations, and project updates to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to identify investment opportunities and risks.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

 

Key Requirements:

 

• 7-10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, project finance, or a similar role within the energy or infrastructure sector.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with a proven track record in evaluating complex investments.
• Deep understanding of the Australian energy market, including regulatory frameworks and renewable project economics.
• Experience in leading M&A transactions, project financing, and competitive tenders.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business, engineering, or related disciplines. An MBA or CFA is highly regarded.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
