Assistant Development Manager

Location: VIC (with travel to projects as required)

Job Purpose

The Assistant Development Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Development Manager across all aspects of development for assigned projects. This involves collaboration with internal support and external consultants.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support Development Manager on all project workstreams including land, planning, environment, grid connection, engineering and business case.
  • Interface with external consultants and in-house personnel to deliver project milestones across key development workstreams.
  • Assist with tasks such as scheduling, risk management, procurement, contract administration, communication, and quality review.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld for any site visits.

Reporting Relationships

No direct reports. Internal stakeholders include Engineering, Land, Planning & Environment, Project Finance, and Legal departments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential: Qualification in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent industry experience.
  • Preferred: 2+ years’ experience in development, project management and/or construction of technologies and infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of project management processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks within designated timeframe and prioritise accordingly.
  • Appreciation for renewable energies.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite applications and utilising project management software packages/tools.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS preferable.
