Our client is a leading pan-Asian renewable energy platform focused on developing and investing in utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects across the region. With an established presence in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore, they are backed by a top-tier global infrastructure investment firm.


The Role

This is a position within the South Korea investment team. You will play a critical role in evaluating renewable energy investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and supporting project finance transactions across the region. This role offers direct exposure to utility-scale renewable energy projects and the opportunity to work alongside seasoned investment professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis for renewable energy projects including solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems
  • Review and adjust project finance models to reflect specific project requirements and structure
  • Perform due diligence on potential investments including review of project documentation, power purchase agreements, and other commercial contracts
  • Support the structuring and execution of project finance transactions
  • Prepare investment committee materials and presentations
  • Monitor portfolio company performance and conduct ongoing financial analysis
  • Collaborate with technical, legal, and commercial teams to evaluate investment opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure advisory
  • Strong project finance fundamentals with hands-on financial modeling experience
  • Experience modeling complex energy infrastructure projects (CCGT or similar thermal assets highly valued)
  • Bilingual fluency in Korean and English (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in Excel and financial modeling tools
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

Preferred Experience

  • Renewable energy project finance or advisory background
  • Experience with non-recourse or limited recourse financing structures
  • Understanding of power purchase agreements and energy market dynamics
  • Exposure to investment decision-making processes
  • CFA or relevant professional qualification
