The Role

This is a customer-facing pre-sales and technical solutions role within the energy storage division. You will design and deliver utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions, engage directly with customers and sales teams, and contribute to product strategy and development.

What You Will Do

• Design, engineer, and optimise utility-scale energy storage systems for customers
• Analyse RFP documentation, assess project scope, and identify technical risks
• Conduct technical presentations and provide clarifications to sales teams and customers
• Translate customer requirements into BESS technical solution designs
• Review and submit technical tender response bundles within deadlines
• Analyse previous tender submissions to extract technical learnings
• Monitor storage market trends, technical requirements, and the competitive landscape
• Support contract negotiation and finalisation from a technical perspective

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering
• 5 or more years of relevant experience, including exposure to a DNO or TSO environment
• Working knowledge of battery systems, power conversion systems, PPC/EMS/SCADA, and grid connection processes
• Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and standards for BESS
• Ability to size Power Converter Systems and battery systems
• Familiarity with grid operator processes and design concepts including short circuit protection, conductor sizing, thermal systems, and safety systems
• Fluency in technical English. Additional European languages (Italian, German, or Spanish) are a plus

Must-Have Technical Experience

• Large-scale BESS (5MW+), AC and DC systems
• PCS and inverter experience
• Grid connection at medium and high voltage
• PPC/EMS/SCADA control software
• Lithium-Ion technology, specifically LFP
• Renewable energy or storage project management or proposal process experience
