CONSTRUCTION SITE MANAGER
Summary:
The Construction Site Manager’s goal is to facilitate a positive experience for clients. He/she ensures that products and installations outperform customer expectations, are of the highest quality, and develops customer loyalty by optimizing the product to customer needs while providing excellent technical onsite support.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for customers worldwide, ensuring best-in-class customer experience and providing product and systems expertise to maximize customer value.
Oversee construction managers, ensuring daily operations are conducted effectively and efficiently.
Manage workflow and daily field operations to support customer needs.
Provide daily/weekly updates on team performance or customer concerns to Operations Manager.
Translate and interpret wiring/construction schematics to support installation (civil, structural, and electrical).
Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company safety standards, ensuring no employee or subcontractor operations proceed without proper compliance.
Conduct, document, and report safety meetings.
Assist in project preplanning including plan review and comments, manpower, project sequencing, material takeoffs, material requisitions, and reviewing subcontractors’ scopes of work.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project managers, engineers, and clients.
Work with Project Management to develop accurate construction schedule forecasts and create daily reports to track progress, material deliveries, installation issues, tool issues, and other site activity.
Work directly with subcontractors, temporary labor, and employees on planning, scheduling of construction, and quality control.
Train and support a large-scale workforce, including subcontractors.
Provide guidance and technical support on issues concerning electrical and building components/applications.
Set up and train clients on tool maintenance and servicing.
Experience and Qualifications:
5+ years of construction management experience.
Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
Proficient with heavy equipment (forklifts, reach forklifts, bobcats, scissor lifts, etc.)
Proficient with basic building equipment (laser levels, transits, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Understanding of construction math and strong problem-solving skills.
Strong self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proven ability to maintain client relationships.
Commitment to safe working practices.
Successful track record managing and delivering construction projects on schedule and under budget.
Detail-oriented.
Willing to travel up to 100% of the time.
Previous solar electricity experience highly desired.
