Job Title: Export Cables Client Representative

Rotation: 2 weeks on / off
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Export Cables Client Representative to support offshore installation activities for a major renewable energy project. The successful candidate will act as the client’s on-site representative during key phases of offshore cable installation, ensuring safety, quality, and procedural compliance are upheld throughout.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all offshore installation activities during the execution phase.
Ensure contractor compliance with all approved procedures, risk assessments, and safety protocols.
Monitor and promote high safety and quality standards throughout all operations.
Serve as a role model for professional conduct in alignment with the project’s core values.
Intervene or halt operations if safety, quality, or procedural standards are compromised.
Core Tasks:
Prepare and distribute Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), ensuring timely sign-off from all relevant parties.
Review and stay updated on Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RA/MS), and QHSE documentation.
Attend daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
Be present as a visual witness during critical activities and installation phases, accessing all work areas where safe to do so.
Participate in safety walks with HSE representatives from both the client and contractor teams.
Report safety observations and incidents in Synergi (or other systems) as guided by the project team.
Deliverables:
Daily reporting on activities related to cable load-out, transit, positioning, trenching, and installation.
Submission of completed and signed Daily Progress Reports (DPRs).
Immediate reporting of any safety, quality, or procedural deviations.
Requirements:
Mandatory Certifications:
GWO modules: Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling
Offshore survival training: HUET, STCW 2010, OPITO or BOSIET with EBS (STASS, HEED, or equivalent)
Medical fitness certificate (including Chester Step Test)
HSE training: IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
LOLER and CDM awareness
Marine awareness training relevant to offshore roles
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in cable installation or trenching operations (trenching and boulder plough experience is essential)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
Familiarity with DPR systems and Synergi reporting tools
