As we expand, we are seeking a Finance Department Manager to lead financial operations and drive strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Role Overview
The Finance Department Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial planning, analysis, reporting, and controls across the organization. This role will manage the finance team, partner with senior leadership, and ensure the company’s financial health as we scale operations globally. The ideal candidate has strong experience in finance within capital-intensive industries (infrastructure, energy, telecom, or datacenters), coupled with a start-up mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals and datacenter expansion plans.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for hyperscale deployments and operational growth.
Provide scenario analysis to support investment and capital allocation decisions.
Financial Operations & Reporting
Oversee daily finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and treasury management.
Ensure timely, accurate monthly/quarterly financial reporting and variance analysis.
Develop KPIs and dashboards to track financial performance.
Cost Management & Optimization
Monitor capex and opex across datacenter build and operations projects.
Implement cost control measures and drive efficiency across procurement, energy consumption, and supply chain financing.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial policies.
Establish internal controls to safeguard assets and support audit readiness.
Support regulatory and investor reporting requirements.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Build and manage a high-performing finance team.
Partner with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to align financial insights with business execution.
Present financial updates and recommendations to executive leadership and investors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
8+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership/managerial role.
Strong background in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), capital project finance, and treasury management.
Experience in data center, cloud, energy, infrastructure, or other capital-intensive industries strongly preferred.
Proven ability to manage complex budgets, forecasts, and multi-million-dollar capital projects.
Deep knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous start-up environment with global scale ambitions.
