Pre-Sales Manager – Data Centre Development (Singapore)
Our client is a leading developer and operator of hyperscale data centres across Asia-Pacific. They are strengthening their pre-sales function and looking for an experienced engineer who can bridge customer requirements with technical and commercial solutions.
What you’ll do
• Own the pre-sales process from first enquiry to hand-over, coordinating closely with internal engineering, commercial, operations and project teams.
• Translate customer requirements into clear, viable technical solutions and budgets, ensuring proposals meet scope, timeline and cost targets.
• Act as the main technical liaison for assigned accounts—leading qualification calls, workshops and regular project reviews.
• Gather and consolidate inputs from design consultants, contractors and vendors to build comprehensive responses to RFPs and technical questionnaires.
• Support network and connectivity discussions, working with fibre providers and internal network engineering teams.
• Track fit-out and variation works, ensuring delivery aligns with contract, drawings and standards.
• Chair (or co-chair) meetings with clients, asset owners, funds and partners, documenting actions and driving timely follow-ups.
• Provide technical support through design, construction, testing & commissioning and, if required, post-handover operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of pre-sales tools, processes and team capability.
What you bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 6–10 years’ experience covering mechanical systems design, BMS, fire protection and related disciplines.
• Proven track record delivering technical due diligence, site evaluation, design and T&C for at least five hyperscale data centre projects.
• 3+ years in project or design management, with the ability to juggle multiple complex engagements.
• Working knowledge of BICSI, TIA and Uptime Institute Tier standards; ATD certification is a plus.
• Confident presenter who can lead customer meetings in both Mandarin and English.
• Collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with resilience in a fast-moving environment.
• Comfortable working across cultures and time zones; occasional travel will be required.
