Job Description:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer II in the nuclear industry, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components for nuclear power plants. You will work closely with a team of engineers to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of nuclear power plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for nuclear power plants
  • Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the safety and reliability of mechanical systems
  • Create detailed drawings and specifications for manufacturing and construction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Conduct testing and analysis to validate design performance
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in nuclear engineering

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the nuclear industry
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and standards
