NDT Inspector – Focus Casting Parts
A Snapshot of Your Day
Within the Gas Services Distributed business, you will independently perform NDT and dimensional inspections on components for gas turbines, often in collaboration with suppliers. Your duties will include conducting inspections in line with specifications, as well as technically and formally reviewing the accompanying documentation. Typically, NDT is executed at supplier locations. Should you identify any deviations from supplier results, you will be responsible for clearly describing these discrepancies in technical terms, effectively communicating them, and coordinating further actions with the cross-departmental team.
How You’ll Make an Impact
§ Responsibility for the preparation, execution, and follow-up of non-destructive tests on gas and steam turbines components
§ Supplier qualification, development and active participation in the quality improvement of suppliers and purchased parts
§ Avoiding quality problems by developing preventive measures for suppliers
§ Methods for quality assurance and analysing the causes of defects and initiating appropriate corrective measures together with suppliers
§ Implementation of preventive SQM methods and risk management in supplier-related processes, projects and products
§ Initiating, monitoring and actively pursuing corrective and preventive actions for suppliers
§ Proactive collaboration with a global team and internal partners
What You Bring
§ Completed technical education, mechanical engineering, or similar
§ Certified to ISO9712 or similar in VT, MT, PT and UT to at least Level II required
§ Several years of relevant professional experience in the NDT of cast components
§ Profound knowledge in the application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA
§ A team player with good collaboration and communication skills
§ MS Office applications, SAP
§ Business fluence in English
§ Up to 60% travel nationally and internationally, hybrid working with 3 days in the office if not travelling
