PMS Commissioning Engineer

Spencer Ogden is seeking a reliable PMS (Power Management Systems) Commissioning Engineer to support one of our global OEM clients in ongoing large scale E-house intergrated projects in Singapore. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret schematics for power management systems (PMS).
• Design communication networks and schemes for PMS using industrial protocols such as RSTP, HSR, PRP, and MRP etc.
• Engineer PMS applications for load shedding, load sharing, Generator Control and synchronization
• Engineer IEC 61850-based systems (MMS and GOOSE)
• Integration of LV/HV switchgear equipment using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet.
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot communication networks using specialized tools (e.g., Wireshark, IEDScout, ITT).

Desired Characteristics:

• Minimally 3-5 years experience in automation background
• Background from Oil & Gas or Power sector (substation or E house experience is an added advantage but not mandatory)
• Good experience in Testing & Commissioning
• Able to work independently subsequently onsite

Following skills will be an added advantage:

• Familiarity with hands on multiple IEC 61850 editions and cross-integration techniques
• Third party system integration with Power management system
• 800xA PMS library and 800xA with control builder and workplace
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and implementation

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months contract to start (with potential for extension)
• Start date: September 
• Location: Singapore
