Job Title: Pre-feeding Expert – Bioenergy Processing Systems (2-Year Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Global (Remote), 2 weeks quarterly travel to Asia
Reports to: CNB Operations & Tech Lead
Company: Fortune 500 Bioenergy Leader ($120B Revenue)
Position Overview
As part of a global initiative to scale from 10 to 1,000+ greenfield CBG (Compressed Biogas) production units, we seek a Pre-FEED Expert specializing in course shredders, hammer mills, extruders, material handling systems (bulk/baler), bio-grinders, and MSW-OF segregation. This role will drive technical excellence in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting bioenergy systems to achieve daily outputs of 20 tons of biogas and 80–100 tons of fermented organic manure (FOM) per unit.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Evaluation & Design
Conduct pre-FEED studies for agro-residue, municipal/organic waste, and energy crop processing systems.
Evaluate equipment performance (shredders, hammer mills, extruders) for diverse feedstocks, including high-fiber materials like Napier grass.
Operational Optimization
Develop SOPs for material handling, grinding, and segregation systems to maximize biogas yield and FOM quality.
Troubleshoot bottlenecks in existing operations (e.g., bio-grinder wear rates, MSW-OF contamination).
Knowledge Transfer
Train onsite teams in Asia on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
Create technical manuals and failure-mode analysis guides for global deployment.
Efficiency Improvement
Advise on CAPEX/OPEX optimization for bulk material handling and preprocessing.
Pilot innovative solutions (e.g., AI-driven feedstock sorting, predictive maintenance for hammer mills).
Strategic Advisory
Collaborate with engineering teams on greenfield unit designs (500–1,000 TPD capacity).
Advise on vendor selection and technology partnerships for scalable bioenergy solutions.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Bioenergy, or related field.
Experience:
10+ years in biomass preprocessing systems (shredders, hammer mills, extruders, material handling).
Proven track record in MSW-OF segregation and bio-grinder optimization.
Familiarity with CBG/AD (anaerobic digestion) plant operations.
Skills:
Expertise in CAD/FEA tools for equipment design.
Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, BioWin).
Lean Six Sigma/TPM certification (preferred).
