Job Title: QA/QC Manager – Electrical Construction

Location: Annapolis, MD

Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site | 40 Hours/Week | Initial 7-Month Contract with Potential for Extension or Direct Hire

 

Overview:

We are actively seeking a QA/QC Manager with extensive electrical construction experience to join our team on a mission-critical infrastructure project in Annapolis, MD. This is a hands-on, field-based position where you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance and control across all phases of construction.

Ideal candidates will bring a strong background in high-voltage (HV), MEP, or utility-scale electrical systems, with proven experience leading QA/QC on complex, high-risk projects. You’ll work directly on site with construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure full compliance with design, code, and safety requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all QA/QC efforts on site, with a strong presence in the field during all phases of construction
  • Conduct daily inspections and verify installation compliance with electrical drawings, specifications, and codes (NEC, NESC, etc.)
  • Identify and document deficiencies, non-conformances, and propose corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate and organized QA/QC reports, field logs, punch lists, and test documentation
  • Participate in commissioning, inspections, testing, and project closeout
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and owner reps to align on quality goals and expectations
  • Ensure full adherence to OSHA, company safety policies, and site-specific protocols
  • Utilize ladders, scaffolds, and PPE as required during on-site field inspections

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of QA/QC experience in construction, with a focus on electrical systems or utility projects
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, MEP integration, and substation or power distribution equipment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experience in QA/QC leadership roles
  • Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, commissioning procedures, and field quality systems
  • Comfortable working on active construction sites and physically inspecting in-progress installations
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to interface with field crews and project stakeholders
