We are looking for an experienced Secondary Design Engineer for our valued client, based within easy reach of their Stafford site.
The responsibilities include reviewing and validating the design matched to their specifications and to lead the secondary design for this project, not to perform the design tasks themselves. A full role description will be added to this forthwith.
The role will involve managing deliverables from other teams, verification of documents from the secondary designer and Protection and control supplier, and ensuring interface coherence between teams.
Although this is not a designing role, it requires technical knowledge to support and verify the design from others.
Profile requirement
Duration starts from JAN 2026 till DEC 2026 End, with a forseen extension until July 2027 End.
Experience: minimum +6 Year SSEN EHV & HV GIS /AIS Substation P&C
Based in UK prefer close to Stafford.
Role: Secondary Design Leader Part A & Part B Validation/Check ( Basic design with for seen extension to Part B details Design).
Review and validation of Basic design CT, VT IED, & SCADA ARCH Specification matched to SSEN SPEC.
Review Validation Main SLD ,KLD & 3LD.
Review Validation AUX AC/DC SLD.
Secondary Equipment validation includes HV Equipment’s (CT, VT , SF6 compartment)Panel MIMIC’s , AC/DC Main offers, MVSWG,….not limited
Review and Validate CT, VT, cable sizing Calculation.
Scada I/O list ,White books
Schematics diagrams validation , wiring diagrams validation , includes Wiring label/Colour Code for External and internal.
Interface Cable list and cable connections.
Synchronizing Compensator Logic and schematics validations.
Planning and self-time management awareness.
