Team Overview
Our client is a leading provider of power cable infrastructure projects across Germany and Europe. We are seeking a proactive Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day on-site installation and construction activities in Bavaria for a 12-month contract, with potential extension. This role ensures safe, high-quality, and on-time project delivery through close coordination with the Customer, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise pre-lay activities for the power cable system, acting as the focal point with the Customer and third parties.
Coordinate between Customer, Civil Works contractors, and Cable Laying subcontractors for daily activity planning, civil works checks, and infrastructure inspections.
Monitor cable laying operations performed by subcontractors to ensure compliance with project plans and contractual requirements.
Maintain detailed daily site logs and records of all activities.
Supervise backfilling operations executed by third-party companies, ensuring correct timing, quality, and cable protection.
Manage on-site personnel, assets, logistics, and enforce HSE compliance.
Ensure site safety rules are followed to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
Support the preparation of method statements and other documentation under guidance from Installation Engineering.
Assist management in tracking progress, reporting issues, and maintaining workflow efficiency on site.
Qualifications & Experience
Preferably 2–4 years of experience in construction or installation site supervision, ideally in the cable industry.
Practical knowledge of land-based installation activities and related technical documentation.
Understanding of drawings and basic cable/accessory design is advantageous.
Strong leadership and team guidance skills.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills with clients and subcontractors.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset; able to manage priorities and workflow efficiently.
Self-motivated, fast learner, and committed to results.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and internet-based tools.
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel frequently, domestically and occasionally abroad.
Ability to spend extended periods on-site (~60–70% per year).
