Job Title: HV Technician (66kV)Location: Port of Tyne, UKContract Type: 12-Month Contract (Inside IR35)Rotation: 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks OffAccommodation: Service Operation Vessel (SOV)We are seeking a highly skilled and trained electrical engineer with expertise in high voltage (HV) systems, particularly up to 66kV. The ideal candidate will have received formal training for a minimum of 33kV systems and possess valid GWOs (Global Wind Organisation certifications).Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, repairs, and testing of high voltage electrical systems, with a focus on ensuring safe and efficient operations up to 66kV.Collaborate with a skilled team to manage electrical assets, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative measures to optimize performance.Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards, ensuring compliance with GWOs and other relevant regulations.Work on a 2/2 rotation, providing continuous support for electrical systems while staying on the Service Operation Vessel (SOV) based out of the Port of Tyne. Requirements: Electrical education background with relevant engineering qualifications.Extensive training and experience in handling high voltage systems, preferably up to 66kV, and holding a minimum of 33kV training.Valid GWOs (Global Wind Organisation certifications) are essential.Flexibility to work on a 2/2 rotation and stay on the Service Operation Vessel (SOV) during working shifts.Strong commitment to safety, adhering to guidelines and best practices to ensure a safe working environment. Contract Details:This role offers a 12-month contract, operating inside IR35 regulations.
