The growth of the solar industry in the U.S is well documented. Between November 2015 and November 2016, the solar industry was responsible for more than one in 50 “new jobs” created in the U.S.

Challenges

The client company launched a key project located in Virginia. This project was tied to their public initiative to achieve 100% renewable energy usage for its global infrastructure, with the first milestone of 40% achieved by the end of 2016. Spencer Ogden were awarded the mechanical and civil subcontractlabour provision consisting of technical and craftlabour. As with many solar projects, the area for the site was remote and provided challenging conditions due to its coastal location.
