Responsible for executing mechanical tasks during maintenance and overhauls.
Proficient in assembling, disassembling, and troubleshooting steam turbine components.
Contribute to outage efficiency, safety compliance, and project success.
Responsibilities:
Execute mechanical tasks during steam turbine outage projects.
Assemble, disassemble, and inspect steam turbine components.
Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls as required.
Collaborate within the outage team to ensure seamless execution.
Adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and established procedures.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during outages.
Provide specialized knowledge in steam turbine systems and components.
Contribute to accurate documentation and reporting of work.
Qualifications:
MUST HAVE VCA OR SIMILAR HEALTH AND SAFETY PASSPORT
Relevant technical qualification or mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
Proven experience in mechanical fitting for steam turbines.
Familiarity with assembling, disassembling, and inspecting turbine components.
Ability to work effectively within an outage team.
Strong commitment to safety and compliance with protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Effective communication skills within a collaborative environment.
Must be an EU national eligible to work in Germany.

Spencer Ogden are looking at mechanical fitters in the UK next April to the middle of June. Details: Role: Mechanical Fitter Start Date: April 2024Duration: Outage 1 = 20 days. Outage 2 = 35 days (there will be a weeks break between projects) Location: TBC More Information You would be working with a 701F gas turbine on 6-day weeks 10-hour days. Role Description / Requirements Machine Assembly: Assemble and disassemble machinery and mechanical equipment, including pumps, engines, conveyors, and production machines.Installation: Install and align machinery and equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring proper levels, clearances, and tolerances.Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure it operates efficiently and safely. This may include lubricating moving parts, replacing worn components, and troubleshooting issues.Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical failures and malfunctions in machinery and equipment. This may involve replacing faulty components, welding, or machining parts as needed.Calibration: Calibrate and test equipment to ensure it meets performance standards and accuracy requirements.CCNSG / IOSH / EMSS Safety Passports accepted.
