Commercial Senior Manager (Contracts & Commercial Management)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Senior Manager to lead regional contract and commercial management for large-scale energy and engineering projects. This role focuses on post-order phases including after-sales, warranty, maintenance, claims, and contract execution, ensuring strong commercial governance, risk control, and compliance across the full project lifecycle in an international environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end contract management for post-order projects, including fulfilment tracking, after-sales, warranty, and maintenance-related contractual obligations
  • Manage contract review, execution, risk assessment, and mitigation to safeguard commercial interests and project profitability
  • Act as the primary commercial interface with clients, leading negotiations and resolving variations, claims, disputes, and compliance matters
  • Support complex bid, contract structuring, and execution processes across regional and international projects
  • Establish and optimize contract management systems, templates, and documentation to improve standardization and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, procurement, technical, and project teams to provide full lifecycle commercial and contractual support
  • Monitor regulatory, legal, and market developments to ensure proactive governance and risk control
  • Support procurement and supply chain contracts, including drafting, negotiation, and claims handling
  • Build and strengthen the regional contract management function and team capability

Qualifications & Preferred Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Engineering Management, International Trade, Business, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of contract and commercial management experience within engineering, infrastructure, energy, or large-scale project environments
  • Strong experience in contract execution, claims, dispute resolution, and commercial risk management
  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts in an international setting
  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycle contracts, commercial governance, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience working on cross-border or multi-country projects within matrix organizations
  • Background in renewable energy, EPC, infrastructure, or equipment-led industries is highly advantageous
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills in fast-paced, global environments
