Location : Central Mid-west
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager/ Director to focus on our Data Center Telecommunications solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly in data center sales, and a proven ability to drive business growth through strategic sales and client relationship management. You will be responsible for driving sales, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strong relationships with clients, particularly within the telecommunications sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Sales Growth: Focus on selling data center telecommunications services, including network infrastructure, cloud connectivity, fiber optic solutions, and colocation services to telecommunications providers.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with telecommunications clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
Identify New Business Opportunities: Prospect and qualify new business opportunities within the telecommunications market. Leverage market trends, customer needs, and product offerings to secure new contracts and expand market share.
Develop Sales Strategies: Collaborate with internal teams to design tailored solutions for telecommunications companies. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Sales Presentations and Negotiations: Lead sales meetings, deliver presentations, and negotiate contracts. Effectively communicate the value of our data center and telecommunications offerings to decision-makers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (engineering, operations, marketing, and finance) to ensure customer needs are met, and to streamline the sales process.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to adjust sales tactics and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, forecast revenues, and provide regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in sales within the telecommunications or data center industry, with a focus on network infrastructure, cloud services, and related technologies.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, fiber optics, colocation, cloud connectivity, and data center operations.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels, including with C-level executives.
Results-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Strong track record of driving revenue growth and securing large, complex deals.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Travel: Willingness to travel to meet clients, attend conferences, and participate in industry events as needed.
