Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee recruitment and talent acquisition for a large-scale, engineering-focused manufacturing environment. Based in their gearbox production facility, this role will act as a senior recruitment partner to plant leadership, ensuring the timely hiring of skilled technical and corporate talent to support ongoing operational expansion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies tailored to a manufacturing and heavy-engineering setting, covering both blue-collar and white-collar hiring
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from manpower planning and job posting to screening, interviewing, selection, and offer management
  • Conduct structured interviews and technical screening coordination to ensure strong competency and cultural fit
  • Partner closely with plant leadership, engineering heads, production managers, and corporate functions to understand workforce needs
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, technical institutes, and job portals to ensure consistent talent pipelines
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers on recruitment best practices, market benchmarks, and compliance requirements
  • Ensure hiring activities adhere to all relevant labour laws, industry regulations, and internal policies
  • Support wider HR initiatives including workforce planning, employee engagement, onboarding, and process improvement

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally within manufacturing, automotive, heavy engineering, or industrial operations
  • Demonstrated success hiring for technical roles such as mechanical engineers, production supervisors, quality engineers, maintenance technicians, and supply chain professionals
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes in a plant environment, including blue-collar workforce management
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience using HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, and recruitment tools
  • Solid knowledge of Indian labour laws, manufacturing compliance requirements, and best-practice hiring standards
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced operational setting
