About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Center Development Manager with end-to-end experience across colocation, hyperscale, and real estate sourcing. This individual will lead site selection, acquisition, and development strategies for our next-generation data center portfolio. The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge of data center operations with strategic real estate insight.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full lifecycle of data center development projects, from site identification and acquisition to design, permitting, construction, and commissioning.
Identify and evaluate potential real estate opportunities for colocation and hyperscale facilities, including feasibility studies, due diligence, and financial modeling.
Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to negotiate site leases, purchases, and development agreements.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution and on-time delivery.
Conduct market and competitive analyses to inform strategic site selection decisions.
Ensure compliance with all local zoning, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
Develop strong relationships with municipalities, utility providers, brokers, and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Proven end-to-end experience in data center development, including colocation, hyperscale, and real estate sourcing.
Strong understanding of site selection criteria, power and cooling infrastructure requirements, and network connectivity.
Demonstrated experience negotiating real estate acquisitions or leases for large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex, multi-phase projects on time and within budget.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to evaluate ROI and feasibility of potential sites.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Real Estate, Construction Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Desired Experience
Experience in both colocation and hyperscale data center projects.
Hands-on involvement in real estate sourcing and acquisition, including negotiations with brokers, landowners, and municipalities.
Understanding of permitting, zoning, and environmental considerations for large-scale data center developments.
Familiarity with sustainable and energy-efficient data center design and operations.
