Join a high-impact energy infrastructure project
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Specialist to join our UK Operations team in support of complex, high-voltage substation projects across the UK. This is a contract opportunity where you’ll work on critical national infrastructure projects, helping shape the UK's energy future.
?? Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project
Create tender and design schedules in collaboration with project and design teams
Support earned value management, budget tracking, and reporting
Conduct delay impact analysis and compensation event planning
Ensure compliance with NGET TP 193, CDM regulations, and industry standards
Work closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and contractors
Produce dashboard and performance reports
Participate in risk management processes
? Required Skills & Experience
7+ years planning experience in the construction or energy sector
5+ years working specifically in high-voltage (HV) transmission projects
Proven experience building schedules for National Grid (NGET TP 193)
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and project control systems
Understanding of HV substation design and construction sequencing
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
? Qualifications & Certifications
Full UK driving licence
Valid CSCS card
Primavera P6 qualification or equivalent experience
Degree in engineering or construction (desirable)

Travel: National travel required – approx. 40–50% of your time
